I am an author and illustrator and all-around book lover.
I live in Texas with my kids & husband, and I love making books that add a little extra beauty to the world. I have written and illustrated multiple picture book biographies about interesting women, and I also write lyrical picture books that use words & images to capture a feeling.

I was born in Kansas, moved to Georgia, then moved to Rhode Island (where I spent most of my childhood), and now live in Texas

I'm Catholic and love my faith, and really enjoy stories that deal with faith in all its forms (most especially when the stories are not about it directly)

I studied Industrial Design in college, and worked for ten years at an interaction design firm that made interactive experiences for Otis Elevator, Google, Samsung, museums, & more

My "comfort food" books are cozy mysteries, especially by Ngaio Marsh & Agatha Christie

I have a not-so-secret dream of writing middle grade fiction as well as picture books
